MAY Excursion

Last month excursion to Clendon House had to be cancelled because of bad weather. We give it another go on the 22th of MAY.

We meet at the North Tech carpark at 9.30 for the carpooling before heading off.

Robbie Robinson recounts his sailing adventures around the world, including boat building, racing, and cruising.

• Built boats, raced, and cruised in the Bay of Islands.

• Sailed from Kerikeri to Mackay, then towards Cape York and across Australia.

• Sailed to Cocos Keeling Islands, Gorgon, and India.

• Experienced cultural differences and bureaucratic challenges in India. Sailed across the Arabian Sea to Oman, then down to Aden and through the Red Sea.

• Encountered Yemeni soldiers and navigated the Suez Canal.
